Riffkit Is Now in ChatGPT's Plugin Directory

Riffkit is now in ChatGPT's plugin directory. You can install Riffkit in ChatGPT and ask for a short video in plain words: change the outfit, the person, the place or the product in a video you already have, remake a TikTok that did well, or make one from a written idea. Riffkit shows the price in credits before anything renders, and the finished video lands in your Riffkit library. Disclosure: we make Riffkit.

What Riffkit does in ChatGPT

ChatGPT doesn't render video itself. With Riffkit installed, it can hand the job to Riffkit, which renders the video and sends back a link to it. The same three modes as in the Riffkit web app:

• Swap renders a video's own shots again with one thing changed: the outfit, the person, the place or the product. The framing, the timing and the moves stay.
• Adapt keeps the formula of a winning TikTok (the hook, the pacing, the beats) and tells a new story with it, for your product, in one of ten languages.
• Create makes a video from a written idea, 4 to 45 seconds, with no source video.

Once a video is done, you can ask in the same chat for more aspect ratios for a vertical video (9:16, 3:4, 1:1 and 4:5; each is a new render, quoted first) or for fixes to its captions, which use no credits.

Install it in three steps

We went through these on a ChatGPT Free account on the web on November 7, 2026:

1. Open Riffkit's listing in ChatGPT and select Install plugin.
2. ChatGPT opens Riffkit's approval page on riffkit.ai. Sign in to your Riffkit account if it asks, and approve. ChatGPT then shows Riffkit plugin installed.
3. Select Try in chat. A chat opens with Riffkit in the message box, ready for your request.

We haven't checked other ChatGPT plans or ChatGPT's phone apps yet. Where Riffkit's plugin isn't available to you in ChatGPT, ChatGPT can also add it as a custom MCP server with the address https://mcp.riffkit.ai/mcp (OpenAI's steps).

The price comes first

Riffkit's tools are built to quote before they spend. On a ChatGPT Free account on the web, on November 7, 2026, we asked for a 4-second video: Riffkit quoted 160 credits, waited for a yes, charged 160, and the link it gave us played.

When a price is only an estimate, Riffkit says "about". A render that fails isn't charged.

Same account, same credits as the app

Riffkit in ChatGPT runs on your Riffkit account. It uses the same credits and the same per-second rates as the Riffkit app, so a 9-second video uses 9 seconds' worth wherever you start it. Plans and payment stay in the Riffkit app, and plans start at $15 a month.

Signing up is free and needs no credit card, and new accounts usually start with free credits. On an account that has never paid, a video longer than one section is made a section at a time: the first section comes with your free credits, and a plan finishes the rest.

Your own video goes in through a link

A file you attach to the chat message doesn't reach Riffkit. Ask for an upload link instead: Riffkit gives you a link to a Riffkit page, or an upload box if one appears in the chat, and you add the video there from your phone or computer within the hour, up to 100 MB. Videos can be up to 45 seconds. A TikTok link works too, as long as it is one video, not a profile.

Three things to ask first

Change the outfit in my video to a red dress and keep every shot. Give me a link to add the video, and show me the price first.

Remake this TikTok as a video for my product [product name]. Show me the price before you start. [TikTok link]

Create a 10-second video with my product [product name]: [the scene in one or two sentences].
